Shipbuilding sounds complicated. Can't you just do it for me?

I am available for hire to help with shipbuilding jobs.

My shipbuilding services/estimated costs:

Fleeting with me (r20) for mods:
This service is not available at all times, but when it is convenient for me I am available for mods. Please ask me politely if I am available for fleeting for mods if you would like to do so. I prefer to do fleets for this kind of thing in Seville (for Spanish-invested players) or Ceuta (for those who are not invested in Seville), however upon occasion I can fleet elsewhere.

Price: Donation (to be discussed in game)

Suggested donation: 5-20m per mod, or something of equivalent value in game.

Fleeting with me (r20) for fusion:
This service is not available at all times, but when it is convenient for me I am available for fusions as well. Please ask me politely if I am available for fleeting for fusion if you would like to do so. I prefer to do fleets for this kind of thing in Seville or Ceuta (any player can do fusion in any port), however upon occasion I can fleet elsewhere.

Price: Donation (to be discussed in game)
Suggested donation: 20m per half hour, or something of equivalent value in game

Consultation (developing/critiquing a mod plan):

Players often ask me to weigh in on a mod plan they've developed. I used to do this for free; however, due to the volume of requests I receive, and the fact that it can potentially have a negative impact on my income as a shipbuilder if people use my expertise and mod themselves, I now am forced to ask for payment for this service. We can work together by bouncing a mod plan back and forth to come up with a customized shipbuilding plan for you, or I can develop a plan that I recommend from the ground up. This is one of my favorite things to do in the game, so I am happy to help most of the time on for this kind of service.

Price: Donation (to be discussed in game)
Suggested donation: 25-50m, or something of equivalent value in game

Full-Service Ship Building (Developing a mod plan and then building/grading/modding the ship):

This is one of my most popular services. Due to the enormous influx of Astro ships from the sailor's bottle, many players find themselves with a new ship and no idea how to mod it. I offer my expertise and opinions to work with clients to develop a mod plan that suits their needs, and then work together to actually build the ship. For many, this is one of the first times they have done this, so it can be a lot of fun, and an in-game educational opportunity. This takes a lot of work/time on my behalf, however, so it is typically more expensive than simply fleeting me or asking me to develop your plan. Like all of my other services, this also is based upon a donation, however since these can sometimes take an entire evening's play time or even a couple of days, it is more than my other services cost.

Price: Donation (to be discussed in game)
Suggested donation
: 500m, Astro items (particularly FS ship parts), SSIPs, ESBRs, etc.

Grading services:

From time to time players who do not have much time, patience, or expertise will ask me to grade their ships for them. I can do this, but the client is responsible for 100% of the fusion cost. In addition, I purchase any material ships beyond g3 (as it is simply too time-intensive for me to make all the g3 material ships I use), so the client must be willing to agree to those terms. If necessary, I will also convert your ship to the form it needs to be in.

Price: Full price of grading + Grading expenses + Donation (to be discussed in game)
Suggested donations:

G1 (usually only for skill inheritance) - Price of grading + grading expenses + 100m

G3 - Price of grading + grading expenses + 500m

G4+ - To be discussed in game

Due to the volume of requests I receive, I have had to establish some rules:

Terms/rules of my shipbuilding services:

1) I work on my time, not on yours. I will try to get to your request absolutely as quickly as possible, but understand that I have some real life obligations (my wife, my job, sleep, etc.) that I cannot avoid.

2) Once we agree on a mod plan, it is like signing a contract. I will not completely rehaul a mod plan in the middle of it (although I may make minor changes, based on the outcome of mods) if you change your mind, so make sure you are certain that the mod plan we agree upon is the one you want to follow!

3) I will guarantee any ship I build/mod/fuse from errors on my behalf (and yes, I have the ducats to do this). I will NOT guarantee your ship from fails (it is very infrequent for me to get a fail, but it is possible), failure to grade, retrogrades, or any other circumstance beyond my control.

4) Requests will be handled in the order they are received. Sometimes (especially after a new sailor's bottle is released) I will get a high volume of back-logged requests. I handle these on a first-come first-serve basis, but will try to get to everyone as quickly and efficiently as I can.

5) I will not do FS builds at cost. A number of these ships are built far from Europe and a great deal of travel is involved. When someone asks me to do a ship build, and then complains when the quote I give them is more than what Ivyro says, I tell them that my time is not free, but that they are welcome to grind to rank 20 and build it themselves if they like :)

6) Ships belonging to me are not for sale. Please do not ask.

7) I reserve the right to block any client/player who I feel is being excessively demanding, stingy, needy, annoying, or otherwise unreasonable. I will give you 1 warning first. UWO is a game to me as well, and if you are "raining on my parade" and keeping me from enjoying what I do, then I will block you, as any reasonable player would.

8) I try to work on a donation system whenever possible. This is an enormous step of good faith on my behalf; do not take it for granted, or you will be blocked (see rule #7). I realize that players who need my services are at different levels in the game, so I try to allow people to pay what they think my services are worth to them, and to keep shipbuilding affordable and reasonable to all.

9) Client is required to have money for payment up front. This does not mean you have to pay me right when I begin, but please don't ask me to take on jobs when you cannot afford to pay me when it is completed. I have had this happen before, and it was quite unpleasant for all parties involved.

10) I will not hold mat ships for you while you fuse. As a shipbuilder, my inventory/docks/alts are constantly filled with material ships. You must have adequate room for your own ships, and if you do not I suggest you acquire a dock/dock slots or an alt to do so.

11) I reserve the right to refuse any jobs I deem unworthy of my time, unwise, or simply do not have time for. Ships built by me are my reputation in this game, and if I think a mod plan is foolish, a waste of time, or simply don't have the time to mod it, I reserve the right to say "no".

How do I know I can trust you to hold my ship?

Well, until we know each other well, I suggest you exercise the same level of caution you would for any ship of yours! However, shipbuilding is my reputation and my place in this game, and maintaining my reputation is critical to the operation of my business. To steal/mishandle/deceive customers would hurt my business, which my primary means of making money in UWO. I never mod/fuse any ship I wouldn't have the money to cover in the event of an accident (and to date, there's no ship/ticket that I could not replace). However, should you require a list of references for well-known players who I have modded for/who can be a character witness on my behalf, I'm sure I have worked with someone you know, and can provide collateral in the event that you still feel uncomfortable letting me hold a ship of yours while I mod it. I am also willing to enter a trade agreement (take a screenshot of me agreeing to give your ship back under certain conditions by a time that you determine).
